New Helicopter

Austin was just being so cute this morning playing with his new helicopter. I just had to take a few pics!

Christmas 2009

We had to go with a small tree this year. Austin has decided he LOVES small shiny things and he is just persistent enough that I thought he would pull the whole tree over on himself just to get to the ornaments!

It was so fun to watch Austin opening up his gifts on Christmas morning. It is amazing how fast they grow, just a few months ago he needed help opening his birthday gifts and now he can open presents all by himself!

Austin thought the box was his gift and he was really excited! Why didn't I think of that?

Oh wait...... I think he is starting to notice what came inside the box.

We went over to Grandpa and Grandma Johnson's house this morning for breakfast and Austin and my step brother's son Jackson were both given cool Winnie the Pooh helicopters. We also went to Grandma and Grandpa Wessman's house later in the day to hang out with the family. Austin loves playing with his cousins!

Austin's first haircut

My visiting teacher Jamie cuts hair, so I asked her if she would give Austin his first haircut. I must say he was not very excited about the experience-poor kid! I am not a fan of the shag look so I am hoping he comes around......

Austin is recovering well from his haircut and enjoying some yummy banana.

Halloween '09

I'm not some ordinary giraffe, I'm a mischevious little giraffe. I did pose for one nice pic, though. Then...back to work, getting into trouble!

First birthday

Austin got to celebrate his birthday twice- once with the Wessmans earlier in the month and once with the Johnsons on his birthday. Katie decided to bake both a chocolate and a vanilla cake to make the parties different. He liked the chocolate after a little coaxing from his cousins, but he was not interested in eating the vanilla hardly at all (except he didn't mind finger painting with it, though). He's a true Wessman, a real chocolate fan!

Austin loved getting the caterpillar, helicopter, and dump truck and is using each one on a daily basis. Mom and dad are glad he's got big boy toys to play with, and are getting used to all the noises and sounds that come with them. And Austin's new quiet book is perfect for church!

Mary really wanted to help discover the new toy helicopter.

He already found the horn!

Here are the October birthdays- Shannon (26th), Grandma Wessman (27th), Austin (28th), and Grandpa Wessman (18th).

Oh, they soooooo needed to help him. You know, just to show him how it's done.

Hey there baby, what you doin'?

A day at Schmidt's Pumpkin Patch

Here's Austin's first visit to a pumpkin patch, where he got to pick out his very own pumpkin. He wanted to do it all by himself! He also stopped by to check out the tractor:

Did I draw the short straw?

July 4 at the cabin

Hanging out with Aunt Lindsay.

Come ON. Seriously?! Any time now...

Can I go play now?

Yeah, I'm patriotic. And I'm cute. You know it.
